Summary

Four users report the core Q&A flow failing to deliver: questions get no response at all (including follow-up questions in an existing chat), the app repeatedly shows a connection-failure error when searching, answers cut off at unpredictable spots so the user must ask it to "resume", and research mode stalls "thinking" with the answer only completing by itself minutes or even hours later. This is an intermittent but recurring reliability failure of the app's primary function, reported over a 2.5-week span (2026-08-07 to 2026-08-23) and still occurring as of the most recent report. One user contrasts the silence with ChatGPT answering the same follow-up thoroughly. Abdellatif replied to all four threads; on 2026-08-24 he told the latest reporter the team is fixing it now, and on 2026-08-13 he noted the team was dealing with "a very large volume of messages right now" — consistent with load-related failures after the V1 launch.

Thanks the team for the blessed effort, but reports the app very often fails to respond with search results and repeatedly shows a connection-failure error. Abdellatif replied (2026-08-24): "نعم نعمل على اصلاح المشكلة الان" (yes, we are working on fixing the problem now).

Daily user (early adopter, French/Italian revert) reporting two related failures in one email: (1) answers cut off at very unpredictable spots, requiring a "resume" prompt; (2) research mode stops "thinking" and the answer only completes by itself after minutes or hours — it has happened more than once. Abdellatif confirmed both are being worked on.

First: while reflecting, sometimes the app cuts its answer in very unpredictable spots, and it becomes needed to ask it to resume its answer. Second: sometimes the app decides to... stop thinking during research, though the app seems to finish the answer by itself after a few minutes or hours. It has happened more than once, so I just thought I'd mention it to you.

Compared Qaf's tafsir answers with ChatGPT: asked a follow-up question to explore the topic further and Qaf did not respond at all, while ChatGPT gave a thorough explanation. (Same email also notes brief default answers and missing text selection/copy on iPhone.)
