Stripe lifetime-purchase link errors on mobile

Category: Bugs Priority: P1 Severity: major Area: billing Reports: 1 Status: Open

Summary: During the 100-lifetime-memberships launch offer, a serious prospective buyer (Omar Twait, UK) got an error message every time he tapped the Stripe payment link on his phone — including after Abdellatif sent a second link (buy.stripe.com/28E14o5Dp7UjdzW9UP0co00). He sent a screenshot of the error. The link only worked the next day when he pressed it and chose "Open in Browser", suggesting the failure happens when the Stripe checkout URL opens inside an in-app webview (e.g. Gmail's built-in browser) rather than the system browser. Directly revenue-impacting: this sits at the very last step of a $1,000 purchase, and only persistence plus founder hand-holding got past it. Only one report so far, and a workaround exists, but silent drop-off from other buyers cannot be ruled out.

Interested lifetime-membership buyer; tapping the Stripe purchase link on his phone produced an error message (screenshot sent, including with the replacement link). Abdellatif sent an alternate link and suggested trying a desktop browser; the next morning it worked via "Open in Browser".

Just wanted to flag that when I clicked on the link to purchase, I got an error message.

Follow-up the next day (2026-08-11):

It seems to work now as I press it and click 'Open in Browser'.
