Summary
Nine threads ask Qaf to grow its corpus beyond Al-Maktaba Al-Shamela (currently ingested via app.turath.io). Users name concrete sources: the Al-Jame' platform (aljam3.com — 63,000 free books across three libraries, requested independently by two users), the King Abdullah Complex for the Prophetic Sunnah (alifta.net, prized for its hadith takhrij), worldwide Fiqh Council declarations for contemporary issues, IslamQA/IslamWeb and the works of Ibn Baz, Ibn Uthaymeen, Ibn Taymiyyah and al-Albani, Ibn al-Qayyim's al-Turuq al-Hukmiyya, South Asian texts such as Tafheem ul Quran, the complete works of Allama Naser Sobhani (duplicate Farsi emails, with book files offered), and Shia sources plus academic databases gated behind a "research" mode. The shared theme: broader coverage of Islamic scholarship is the core value driver — one master's researcher says Qaf unblocked a thesis he'd been stuck on for four years. Abdellatif's replies consistently confirm Qaf is Shamela-only today, that the 3-person team is resource-constrained, and that corpus expansion is a long-term goal.

1a029d96d823628f· Replied: yes - Suggests pooling Fiqh Council declarations from around the world to help researchers with contemporary issues absent from Shamela's older works. Abdellatif: would love to add more content but is resource-constrained right now.
Ever consider pooling in Fiqh Council declarations from around the world? That would certainly assist researchers in contemporary issues not found in the older works of AlShamela.

1a023d435f7690cf· Replied: yes - A master's researcher in Islamic creed wrote his whole message in the subject line (body is just the aljam3.com link): after four stuck years he finally completed the first section of his thesis thanks to Qaf, and suggests adding the Al-Jame' platform — 63,000 books across three libraries (the Prophet's Mosque library, the Waqfiya library, and Shamela) — as it is broader than Shamela.
For four years I was researching my master's topic in Islamic creed and had not written a single letter ... I suggest you add the Al-Jame' platform: it has 63 thousand books, is broader than Al-Shamela, and comprises three libraries. (from the subject line)

Kindly order the necessary review to collect, digitally compile, and add the works of this Quranic thinker and reformer to Qaf's specialized library in upcoming updates.

1a013221443de672· Replied: yes - Urgently requests adding Ibn al-Qayyim's al-Turuq al-Hukmiyya fi al-Siyasa al-Shar'iyya, citing its importance as a fiqh reference and its small size. Abdellatif: Shamela-only for now, hopes to add it soon.
We want the book al-Turuq al-Hukmiyya fi al-Siyasa al-Shar'iyya by Ibn al-Qayyim added, out of utmost necessity — because of the importance of this great fiqh reference, and it is small in size.

1a00c1c8d8c018ca· Replied: yes - In a long, enthusiastic thread (he shared Qaf with 3,000+ WhatsApp contacts; primary ask was partial text copy — see copy-select-text), he asks to expand the trusted sources, naming IslamQA (Su'aal wa Jawab), IslamWeb, and the sites/works of Ibn Baz, Ibn Uthaymeen, Ibn Taymiyyah and al-Albani, and stresses keeping answers linked to the original books so students of knowledge trust it.
Please add more sources, including the IslamQA site, IslamWeb, and the sites of Ibn Baz, Ibn Uthaymeen, Ibn Taymiyyah and al-Albani — search out every trusted source and add them.

1a0042653a3b79a4· Replied: yes - Recommends linking the data of aljam3.com — which he calls the largest site for Islamic scholarly, linguistic, and natural-science books, with 63,000 free books — and the King Abdullah Complex for the Prophetic Sunnah (alifta.net), noted for hadith takhrij and overseen by Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Ma'bad Abd al-Karim of Egypt.
As an improvement I recommend linking the data of the Aljam3 site — the largest site for Islamic scholarly, linguistic, and natural-science books ... it has 63 thousand free books. I also suggest benefiting from the King Abdullah Complex for the Purified Sunnah site, the best site serving the Prophetic Sunnah, one of whose merits is hadith takhrij.

19ffafb22327fb49· Replied: yes - Suggests adding Shia sources and academic databases so Qaf becomes a comprehensive one-stop shop, possibly gated behind a separate "research" feature to avoid confusing general users; offers developer contacts to help. Abdellatif: corpus expansion is desired but not on the immediate roadmap — "We're only 3 people."
if it is possible to discuss adding Shia sources to the app so that Qaf becomes a comprehensive one stop shop for all Islamic knowledge. I think it would be also really interesting to pull in some academic databases into the mix ... Maybe those two facets can be accessed via a "research" feature only so as to not confuse the general user.

19fda1ff97c98bf6· Replied: yes - Congratulates the team and asks for South Asian texts, e.g. Tafheem ul Quran by Maulana Maududi. Abdellatif: "We're only using Shamela at the moment but will work on adding more texts over time."
I noticed that some south asian texts like Tafheem ul Quran by Maulana Maududi are missing from your texts collections. It would be great if you can add them as well.
Details / repro
- Current corpus: Al-Maktaba Al-Shamela only, sourced from app.turath.io; per Abdellatif (thread
19fdcacc9a4a0e9a) the database hasn't been updated in ~4 months and won't be for ~6 more. - Requested sources, consolidated: aljam3.com (x2), alifta.net / King Abdullah Sunnah complex, worldwide Fiqh Council declarations, IslamQA, IslamWeb, works of Ibn Baz / Ibn Uthaymeen / Ibn Taymiyyah / al-Albani, al-Turuq al-Hukmiyya (Ibn al-Qayyim), Tafheem ul Quran (Maududi) and other South Asian texts, Naser Sobhani corpus (files offered), Shia sources + academic databases (research mode).
- Open loop: Aziz Sadeqi's duplicate Farsi proposals are still unanswered.
