More rigorous references inside answers (volume/page, Quran and hadith)
Category: Feature request Priority: P2 Area: ai-answers Reports: 2 Status: Open
Summary
Two users want Qaf's answers grounded with more complete references. Mahmood Muslem asks that quotations from classical heritage works be documented with the book volume (when multi-volume), page number, and publisher so the source is easy to look up; in the same thread he also asks for select/copy and Word/PDF export of chats (preserving Arabic formatting, headings, and citations) and a three-level font-size setting. Samim Parvez reports that Qaf often answers questions without citing the relevant Quran verses and hadith and asks that every answer include them, sharing an example chat link on request. Abdellatif committed to the export feature, the three-level font setting, and the volume/page/publisher citation, and thanked Samim for the example.

Sends a suggestion list: (1) select/copy message text and export the whole conversation or part of it to Word or PDF while preserving Arabic formatting, headings, and citations; (2) font size control; (3) generating Islamic images suitable for presentation; (4) documenting heritage quotations with volume and page; (5) translating important English texts/books for non-English speakers.
- إضافة إمكانية تحديد نص الرسائل ونسخه، وتصدير المحادثة كاملة أو جزء منها في ملف Word أو PDF، مع المحافظة على تنسيق العربية والعناوين والاستشهادات.
Add the ability to select and copy message text, and to export the whole conversation or part of it to a Word or PDF file, while preserving the Arabic formatting, headings, and citations.
The citation request from the same email:
- إمكانية جعل النقولات من التراث موثقة بالجزء والصفحة.
The ability to have quotations from heritage works documented with the volume and page.
In his follow-up (2026-08-17), answering Abdellatif's questions, he spelled out both the font and citation requests:
- أرى حجم الخط حاليا كبيرا، والبعض ممن نظره ضعيف قد يراه صغيرا، اقترح جعل خيار ضبط الخط ٣ مستويات (صغير، متوسط، كبير).
- أعني يكون النص الذي ينقله المحرك موثقا بجزء الكتاب إن كان الكتاب من عدة أجزاء والصفحة واسم الجهة التي طبعت الكتاب، إن أمكن حتى يسهل الرجوع إليه.
I find the current font size large, while someone with weak eyesight may find it small; I suggest a 3-level font setting (small, medium, large). I mean that the text the engine quotes should be documented with the book's volume (if the book has several volumes), the page, and the name of the publisher, if possible, so it is easy to refer back to it.
Abdellatif committed to the export feature, the three-level font option, and volume/page/publisher citation.

Subject: "Quran and Sunnah Missing". Reports that in most cases Qaf answers without mentioning the relevant Quran verses and hadith. When Abdellatif asked for examples, he shared a chat link; Abdellatif confirmed it was helpful.
While answering questions in most cases qaf answering without mentioning Quran verses and hadith relevant to the question.
It would be better if it mention Quran verses and hadith relevant to the question for each queries.
