Requests for a Qaf API for third-party integration

Category: Questions & membership Priority: P2 Area: api Reports: 2 Status: Open

Summary

Two builders asked for programmatic access to Qaf. A Canadian founder (viraltech.ca) wants an API he can integrate into one of his products and resell access to — his email is still unanswered. A London Islamic bookstore owner, impressed after stress-testing Qaf on obscure books and complex i'raab (grammatical parsing), asked permission to integrate Qaf to generate book descriptions; Abdellatif granted the permission but said API keys aren't supported and none are planned "any time soon" — the product needs stability and monetization first. The bookstore owner asked again five days later, showing persistent demand. Combined with the org lifetime-membership buyer who probed API/MCP access (tracked elsewhere), there is early B2B demand for a developer offering; at minimum a canned "no API yet, here's the roadmap position" reply would help.

What users say

Louis-David Paul-Hus louisdavidpaulhus@gmail.com — API for integration/resale

"I wonder if you guys have an API for it? Would love to add it to one of my product and sell it access."

Ahmet Dinc ahmetdinc19822@gmail.com — bookstore integration + repeated API asks

"My request is whether you would grant us permission to integrate Qaf into our bookstore to give descriptions about the book. You see most bookstores do not have detailed descriptions underneath their books mostly due to lack of knowledge regarding the book being sold."
