Offers of Islamic content for Qaf's library
Category: Questions & membership Priority: P3 Severity: n/a Area: content-library Reports: 2 Status: Open
Summary
Two contributors offer scholarly content that is not currently in Qaf's corpus. One is a student who supervised the transcription of Sheikh Ahmad ibn Umar al-Hazimi's commentaries (e.g. Sharh Mukhtasar al-Tahrir in usul al-fiqh, and a commentary on fiqh maxims), held as indexed Word documents, and asks for the best channel to send the files after discovering via the app that they are not included. The other is Dr. Sumayya Ali, a PhD in fiqh and usul al-fiqh, who offers to contribute the content of her doctoral project (a seven-part scholarly edition titled "خلاصة الفوائد المحوية بشرح البهجة الوردية" by Abu Yahya Zakariyya al-Ansari) and to volunteer to write or review research. Abdellatif explained that Qaf currently ingests only al-Maktaba al-Shamela (via turath.io) and plans to digitize major Islamic books next, moving to research/review work later; both offers are effectively parked until a content-intake process and a later research phase exist. These represent latent supply of high-quality content and reviewers worth capturing in a proper intake pipeline.

Offers Word-format transcriptions he supervised of Sheikh Ahmad ibn Umar al-Hazimi's commentaries — noting he confirmed via the app that they are not in Qaf's current content — and asks for the most suitable channel to send the files.
If you would like to add them and enrich the app's content with them, I would be pleased and honored to provide them to you; kindly let me know the most suitable method or channel for sending you the files.
Abdellatif's reply:
و عليكم السلام أخي زيد، نحن نعتمد فقط على المكتبة الشاملة في الوقت الراهن، و لكن نأمل ان نضيف المزيد من الكتب قريبا ان شاء الله
Wa alaikum alsalam brother Zaid, we currently rely only on al-Maktaba al-Shamela, but we hope to add more books soon insha'Allah.

Introduces herself as a PhD in fiqh and usul al-fiqh interested in supporting digitization projects; when asked how, she offers her doctoral project's content and volunteers to write or review research.
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته معكم الأخت سمية علي دكتوراه في الفقه و أصوله مهتمة في دعم مشاريع الرقمنة
Peace be upon you. This is sister Sumayya Ali, PhD in fiqh and its principles, interested in supporting digitization projects.
On the specific offer:
إذا رغبتم في إضافة محتوى مشروع رسالة الدكتوراة لمجموعة من الطالبات المشروع بعنوان ( خلاصة الفوائد المحوية بشرح البهجة الوردية) لأبي يحيى زكريا الأنصاري في سبع رسائل علمية … و كذلك لا منع لديَّ في كتابة البحوث أو مراجعتها
If you would like to add the content of the doctoral project of a group of female students, titled "Khulasat al-Fawa'id al-Mahwiyya bi-Sharh al-Bahja al-Wardiyya" by Abu Yahya Zakariyya al-Ansari, in seven scholarly theses … I also have no objection to writing or reviewing research.
Abdellatif's reply (summary): they are currently digitizing al-Maktaba al-Shamela only, then plan to digitize major Islamic books, and move to research/review later; he will keep her details and reach out when they reach that phase.
Details / repro
- Zaid's material: transcribed commentaries of Sheikh Ahmad ibn Umar al-Hazimi — e.g. Sharh Mukhtasar al-Tahrir (usul al-fiqh) and a commentary on fiqh maxims (al-qawa'id al-fiqhiyya); held as Word documents, indexed into folders by book and by audio tape/recording; he supervised the transcription.
- Sumayya's material: doctoral project Khulasat al-Fawa'id al-Mahwiyya bi-Sharh al-Bahja al-Wardiyya by Abu Yahya Zakariyya al-Ansari, across seven scholarly theses; plus willingness to write or review research.
- Current ingestion: al-Maktaba al-Shamela only (per Abdellatif). No content-intake channel exists yet — Zaid explicitly asked which channel to use and was not given one.
- Suggested handling: a content-submission/intake process, and a contributor/reviewer contact list for the later research and review phase.
